COVID 19 responsibility

In accordance with the WA Government guidelines, Alchemy Pilates is registered with the SafeWA system and will abide by guidelines as per the government relating to Covid 19 precautions. Please help make this situation easy and respectful for the studio and other clients:

  • Use the QR code to register your attendance

  • Use hand sanitiser on entry to the studio

  • Wear masks on entry to the studio, during set up and pack up/cleaning of the equipment, but may remove the mask for the exercise if you wish.

  • Confirm and supply proof of Double Vaccination Status

  • Flexibility may apply regarding late cancellations if you cancel due to being unwell and are practicing good health measures and self isolating while unwell. See below for further conditions.

  • Please do not attend Alchemy pilates if:

    • You have any flu-like symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, etc)

    • Have not returned from any international or domestic travel in the past 14 days, not been in contact with anyone who has returned from international or domestic travel in the past 14 days,

    • Have come into contact with anyone with a confirmed COVID-19 case or part of a COVID-19 cluster.

Alchemy Etiquette

No zippers, snaps, or buttons on activewear are allowed on the equipment. Please be mindful of what jewellery you are wearing, particularly watches and rings. If you are wearing zippers, it is the responsibility of the client to effectively protect the equipment with the use of personal towels or mats. Any significant damage to the equipment from clothing or jewellery may require you to pay for repair. This is up to the discretion of the studio owner, considering whether you took adequate precaution to prevent damage.

There is a 15 min buffer either side of group classes to allow for smooth entry and exit of clients, please be prompt to class to minimise delays. late entries to the studio can be disruptive to the other clients, please check with the instructor before entering if you are more than 10 mins late to class.

New Clients, please arrive with adequate time to fill out the New client health form and discuss with your instructor.

Studio sessions are back to back, you may enter the studio while the prior session finishes, please be mindful not to disrupt the prior session.

For clients protection, increased hygiene measures are now required:

  • Please bring a yoga mat/towel to use overtop of the mats provided

  • Use towel or reformer mat on the reformers

  • Non slip socks are required on all apparatus, studio and group classes, also for safety measures.

  • Please Wipe down all equipment used at the end of each session with the cleaning solution and cloths provided.

Please bring your own water bottle to classes, but no other food or drink is permitted.

Personal belongings are the responsibility of the clients only. Alchemy Pilates does not accept any responsibility for any belongs brought to the studio and shall not be not liable for any articles lost, damaged or stolen from the studio.

Alchemy Pilates staff do not accept gifts from clients, while this is a kind gesture, the gift will be thankfully not accepted, or donated to a deserving cause.

Refunds and Expiry

Refunds for any value packages or casual classes will not be awarded.

All Casual classes, Intro packages, Value packages and memberships have associated expiry dates as explained on the pricing page of this website. Expiries dates are notified in confirmation emails upon purchasing and visible on client login of the app or booking system, automated emails are sent to clients notifying them of upcoming expiring classes. No extensions are available on expiries.

Beginner courses are an 8 week commitment with an upfront payment. If the client decided not to continue the course, no refund or transfer of credit will be awarded.

In the event of a COVID lockdown, packages and memberships may be put on hold, as to not expire due to no access to the studio.

Credit or Transfer of Credit from one package to another or one person to another may be allowed, according to the discretion of the owner.

Bookings and Cancellation Policy

Online or phone/email bookings are required for all sessions. No walk in appointments or admission to classes are available.

The Alchemy Pilates online booking system utilises a Waitlist function. any issues with the function, please contact Alchemy Pilates directly to register interest for the booked session.

Alchemy pilates reserves the right to not run small group classes of 1 client, and you may be contacted to reschedule your booking with maximum notice available. If you wish to attend the studio at the original time, you will be allowed to upgrade the class to a duo session casual rate for the solo appointment.

I understand that Alchemy Pilates instructors have the right to exclude clients from participation in group classes if they feel the group classes are beyond the reasonable abilities of the client knowing the increase challenge level of the classes, having the clients best interests as priority in the decision making.

Alchemy Pilates has a 12 hour Cancellation policy where no refund for the class will be awarded if cancellations occur after such a time. If using pre-purchased packages, the Wellness Living online system will automatically deduct a class from you package 12 hours prior to the class commencement.

Memberships are a 12 week subscription, billed weekly via direct debit. You give consent for the Wellness Living system via Pay Choice to Direct Debit your credit card on a weekly basis for the amount relating to your membership. You understand that memberships are a 12-week contract and that to break this contract, written notice is required to Alchemy Pilates with 6 days notice to stop future payments.

Cancellations can be accepted by either contacting Alchemy pilates directly via phone or email - not social media channels, in a timely manner or by cancelling via the online booking system or app.

Cancellations due to cold and flu symptoms according to COVID 19 responsibility will be accepted if the symptoms are new onset and a 4 hour cancellation policy will apply. Please contact Alchemy directly via phone or email.

No Show Policy

Failure to attend a pre-booked class or session with failure to notify Alchemy Pilates will result in no refund available for the missed session.

Pregnancy and Post Natal Pilates attendance

Alchemy pilates reserves the right to request Medical Clearance to attend pilates during pregnancy or the post natal period. Further info can be discussed directly with the instructors and written on the relevant Health Screening Forms.

Women in the second and third trimester are required to attend a duo or solo sessions rather than Small Group Mat or Reformer classes. A Discount may be applied to packages, Speak directly to the owner for further details.

Privacy policy

We collect personal information such as contact details, address and medical history for use in the studio relating to your pilates practice only. Alchemy Pilates holds your information private and confidential and reasonable measures are taken to protect your information physically, electronically and administrative procedures however, transmission of personal details over the internet is not completely secure, which Alchemy Pilates is not responsible for. If purchases are made online, your credit card may be held on fine, which will not be charged without the holders consent.

Personal information may be disclosed to a third party in the event of:

  • Request and consent of the client with clear directions for terms of disclosure

  • Where required or authorised by law.

Please ensure you update your records as they change, particularly medical history or physical ailments which may affect your abilities to participate in classes or require extra care from the instructor. Failure to divulge new injuries removes the responsibility from Alchemy Pilates.

You as a client also agree to hold any information heard or discussed about another client participating in sessions at the same or overlapping time while in Alchemy Pilates private and confidential.

You may unsubscribe from any email marketing material at any time.

If writing reviews, please advise Alchemy Pilates Staff if you would like to remain confidential should the review be published on a public platform.

Personal Accountability Agreement

By Signing the Agreement of Release and Liability Waiver provided to you accompanying the New Client Health form, you are agreeing to the above conditions.

You consent to voluntarily participating in health and fitness services provided by Alchemy Pilates at your own sole risk and responsibility which includes but is not limited to group matwork with small props, group reformer, studio solo and duo sessions and pregnancy and post natal pilates.

You agree to participate in any type of class at your own level and pace and that all health and medical information provided is true and up to date and any change in wellbeing will be discussed with the instructor. You acknowledge that pilates exercises may be strenuous and that your cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance should determine your participation in exercises. Any known medical/surgical conditions or factors that may put you at risk will need clearance/medical release from your medical practitioner, provided in writing to Alchemy Pilates. Any episodes of shortness of breath, dizziness, fatigue, chest discomfort or pain shall be raised with your instructor and you accept reasonable bystander intervention.

You will be given tuition how to perform exercise accurately and safely and safety precautions will be educated by the staff and followed by the client while exercising and using apparatus. The instructor will monitor performance and teach in a safe and considerate manner.

Minimum age of participation at Alchemy Pilates is 16 years of age and infants/minors in the studio are the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian.

These Terms and Conditions may be subject to change and updates, it is your responsibility to access them, and they will be readily accessible via this website or on request in the studio.

You recognise that your booking of a class at Alchemy Pilates confirms your continued agreement to these terms and conditions.
