It’s just you, me and Joe

Studio sessions, the chance to learn, explore, fix and grow.

The human body is a funny old thing, no one is perfect, we all have little quirks, aches and pains. Sometimes we have an injury or diagnosed ailment. Perhaps you have been referred by a Physio, Chiro or Osteopath.

Maybe you have a goal in mind, maybe you just had a baby, maybe you do group classes and want to refine something or explore the pilates method a little more.

See where I’m going with this? These sessions are whatever you want them to be. And the bonus is that you get the use of the full studio; the Cadillac, the Reformers, the Wunda Chairs, The Arm Chair, the Spine Correctors and Ladder Barrel.

Think of this like pilates personal training. There is a max of 3 people in these sessions, I’ll teach you each exercises separate from one another, supervising and refining each of you for the hour. You have the full range of studio equipment, I’ll give you exercises specific to your body and your goals, and you have autonomy, as you become more familiar with he equipment and exercises.

There is more flexibility with times in the day, for you busy working people, mums, Fifo, shift workers, etc.

Oh Reformer, we do love you.

You have to wonder sometimes where Joseph Pilates got the names for his equipment. But the reformer really does live up to its name. The structure and design of this apparatus creates a safe yet limitless framework for the repertoire. While the foundations are the same as matwork, the reformer has the addition of springs to create various levels of resistance for the exercises. While sometimes this makes you work harder, sometimes it makes you work less, but it always makes you work well! The reformer brings true meaning to the word ‘Lengthen’.

If you are new to this concept, don’t worry, we all have to start somewhere. It is less daunting than you might think, mostly fun and has a wide range of exercises, again, from beginner to advanced. Our classes reflect this.

See the Introduction to Alchemy Packages if you are brand new to reformer pilates, it’s the best way to get up to speed quick!

Classes are a maximum of 4 people, small classes mean more attention, more specific exercises for the bodies on the equipment and the ability to grow as a group.

It all starts on the mat.

Theres something grounding about the mat. Give your body the gift of movement in the form of matwork pilates. No distractions, no complications, just gravity and movement, sometimes some small props!

Learn how to adapt your breathing, correctly engage your core and build confidence in your body. As regular attendees start to find their rhythm, the classes will get harder as needed. This is the benefit of small groups! Most mat classes on offer will average a progressive - intermediate level with options for easier or harder variations. They are a full body work out without being high intensity.
